1944     helped found ANC Young League
1952     finished his degree and qualified as lawyer
             opened the first Black Law Firm in South Africa
1962     been arrested
1962-1990  locked in Notorious Robben Island Prison
1993      awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
1994.     as President of South Africa
